Product description
Product Type: Tequila Size: 750mLProof: 45% Alc/Vol Region: Mexico Description: Sotol Desierto is a remarkable creation brought to life by the expertise of Master Sotelier, Don Gerardo Ruelas. Using only the finest 100% wild-harvested Dasylirion leiophyllum, meticulously gathered from the Coyame Desert at low elevation, this exceptional spirit captures the essence of its unique terroir.
The journey begins with the careful cooking of the harvested plants in shallow pits, fueled by the natural elements of willow and oak. Once tender, the plants are skillfully shredded by axe and knife, allowing their flavors to unfold. A patient and open-air fermentation takes place in underground masonry tanks, infusing the liquid with layers of complexity.
Through the art of traditional distillation in copper pot stills, Sotol Desierto reaches its full expression. The result is a bright and inviting aroma, filled with the invigorating scents of lemongrass, Meyer lemon, new oak, and the earthy essence of wet soil. Each sip unveils a gentle and mellow palate, gracefully showcasing flavors of wet clay, cacao, ripe fruit, delicate char, minerality, and a touch of sweet spice.
Sotol Desierto boasts a harmonious 46% ABV, ensuring a well-balanced and satisfying experience. This exceptional spirit invites you to savor its unique character, allowing it to transport you to the enchanting landscapes of the Coyame Desert.
Embark on a sensory journey with Sotol Desierto, where the dedication of its maker and the natural beauty of its origin intertwine to create a truly remarkable spirit.
